On 31st September 2012, during ongoing London Paralympics, our paralympians made a great present on the eve of Independence Day of Uzbekistan.
Sharif Khalilov (Judo, man 73kg) won first ever Paralympic medal for Uzbekistan. After three straight wins by nippon, he reached a final, where the Ukraine judoka was luckier and Sharif won the silver medal.
Same day, in the Aquatic Centre, our swimmer Kirill Pankov (man 100m butterfly S13) reached a final, where came 6th by beating the Asian record.
Ten-strong Uzbekistan paralympic team continues its participation in the London Paralympics.
