Briefing “Social-economic development and Year of Youth in Uzbekistan”11 March 2008 The Embassy organized a special briefing “Social-economic development and Year of Youth in Uzbekistan” with participation of over 50 of official, business and academic representatives of the United Kingdom, as well as diplomatic corps of London. They were introduced with the details of address by HE President Islam Karimov to the joint session the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan on results of social-economic development of our country in 2007 and main priorities for 2008. Participants of the briefing were also familiarized with main directions of implementation of the State Program on “Year of Youth” in Uzbekistan. Special documentary film “Towards the Future” prepared by Information Agency “Jahon” and devoted to the “Year of Youth” was demonstrated during the event. Guests of the Embassy highly assessed economic achievements of our country in 2007 and supported a course on continuation of reforms in 2008. They stressed on importance and timeliness of declaration of 2008 as “Year of Youth” in Uzbekistan. Link to the film “Towards the Future”
