Professional boxing: Uzbek athletes lead
The most prestigious directions of professional boxing, World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Organization (WBO), and World Boxing Council (WBC), have announced new standings of the strongest masters of boxing.

WBA decided to give the crown to Nikolai Valuyev, who, before his encounter with Ruslan Chagaev, had never met defeat.

The three stellar boxers in the super heavyweight category also include ex-champions of the world Belarus' Sergei Lyahovich and America's John Ruiz who was once trounced by Ruslan Chagaev.

Champion of the world Ruslan Chagaev is currently holding the WBA "Intercontinental" heavyweight title. Besides, the Uzbek boxer is trying to get into the high five of WBO's rating list.

Another professional Uzbek boxer Kahramon Orzikulov in the weight category up to 52 kg presently ranks the fifth within the WBO. The fact that the boxer from Andijan aspires to get a high position in the professional ring despite having fought only in 16 matches is explained by the fact that he fought with boxers with higher ratings and beat them.

If our 27-year-old boxer wins a few more matches, then in his weight category he will be able to contend for Mexican Fernando Montiel's champion belt.

Kuvonchbek Toygonboyev of Andijan, a professional boxer in the weight category of 69,8 kg, has gone three positions up in WBO ratings and currently ranks the 8th.

Boxing master Farhod Bakirov of Tashkent who fights in the weight category of 66,6 kg within WBA has gone one position up and is thus the 12th.

Another Uzbek pugilist Alisher Rakhimov also ranks the 12th within the European Boxing Union (EBU) in the weight category of 58,8 kg. Alisher Rakhimov, who had gone through 13 boxing encounters, all in his favor, is a world champion within the Global Boxing Union.
