The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Senator Giovanni Vernetti has come to Uzbekistan with an official visit for participation in Uzbek-Italian political consultation.
Italy is interested in expansion of cooperation with Uzbekistan, the assistant of the head of the MFA has declared. He has named "consideration of questions of the further development and strengthening of widespread cooperation of our countries, including in political, trade and economic, humanitarian spheres" as the purpose of the visit.
During meetings in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Senate of the Oliy Majlis representatives of the Italian delegation with the Uzbek colleagues have discussed conditions and prospects of bilateral cooperation, and also questions of activating inter-parliamentary relationships.
In conversation it was marked, that the important legal basis of Uzbek-Italian relationships developing in many spheres are the arrangements achieved at meetings of heads of two states.
