Tokyo gets acquainted with Uzbek experience
The round table between Uzbekistan and Japan took place in Tokyo on a theme of "Formation of a civil society: experience of Uzbekistan". Its organizers were the Central Asian cooperation of Tsukuba University Center and Civil Society Study Institute (CSSI) of Uzbekistan.

The Central Asian cooperation Center studying processes of formation of a civil society and realization of democratic, political, social and economic reforms in the countries of Central Asia has enlisted scientific and public figures of Japan, large experts across the Central Asia and representatives of institutes of a civil society of Japan to "the round table".

During the event Japanese side has familiarized with achievements and prospects of Uzbekistan in the sphere of formation of bases of a civil society. The representatives of the Institute for the study of Civil Society of Uzbekistan brought to a focus of participants the present stage of formation of an Uzbek model of civil society. In this connection, they have stopped on the accepted number of Laws, among which the Constitutional law "On strengthening the role of political parties in updating and further democratization of the government and modernization of the country", the Law of Republic Uzbekistan "On guarantees of activity of NNO, creation of the National Association of NNO in Uzbekistan" and about the new edition of the Law of Republic Uzbekistan "On Mass Media".

According to Japanese organizers of the round table held in Tokyo, this kind of dialog will promote detailed acquaintance for Japanese politicians and experts with a course of social and economic reforms in Uzbekistan, including the recent development of an Uzbek model of civil society.
