According to the Republic's State Committee on Statistics, car production at "UzDaewooAuto" in January-May 2007 has increased by 31.4% in comparison with analogous period in 2006 and has amounted 66 500 units.
Particularly, the volume of car production of trademarks amounted: Nexia - 33 000 units (increase - 15.1%), Matiz - 24 131 units (increase - 49.7%), Damas - 7 656 units (increase 33.9%), Lacetti - 1 713 units (increase 20.2 times).
In 2006 the car production at the plant increased by 38.7% in comparison with 2005 up to 140 080 units. The volume of exports increased by 1.55 times up to 82.5 thousands units, the volume of internal shipment by 29.3% up to 59.6 thousands cars.
The volume of car production for 2007 is planned up to 180 000 units. In 2008 the plant intends to reach planned production capacity - 200 000 cars.
In May 2005 "UzAvtoProm" took a 50% position of Korean Daewoo Motor in "UzDaewooAuto". In the middle of October 2005 "UzDaewooAuto" prolonged till 2010 the contract with American "General Motors" on utilities supply.
