A business- briefing dedicated to issues of broadening commercial and economic collaboration between Uzbekistan and Belgium took place in Belgium. Representatives of Belgian business and public circular participated in the event.
Willy De-Cook - General Director of the Agency of Foreign Trade and Investments of Brussels - noted at the briefing that Uzbekistan is of significant interest for the European business circles.
Belgian businessmen repeatedly have come to Uzbekistan for establishing the contacts with the Uzbek partners. Valloniya Shantal de Blue, Director on relations with the countries of Central and East Europe and CIS of the Agency on Foreign Trade and Investments of the Belgian region, had positively shared experience of their visits in 1999 and 2002. She noted that on the results of her previous visits, Belgian businessmen established mutually advantageous cooperation with the number of Uzbek enterprises.
Patrick Sobri, a Commercial Manager of one Belgian company noted that his company took the opportunity of becoming acquainted with the priority directions of cooperation with Uzbekistan and Uzbek businesses during participation in the work of a sale-exhibition of agro-mini-technologies in November 2006. In particular, he said: "in the course of sale-exhibition our company had chance to establish many promising contacts with the representatives of Uzbek business. There were achieved the preliminary understandings and agreements, which will have positive value for further development of collaboration with Uzbekistan".
