The UNDP (United Nations Development Program) Office in Tashkent hosted a presentation of a new reduced accounting system for farmers of Uzbekistan developed under the ?Complex Development of Territories? project.
The Head of Economic Department of UNDP in Uzbekistan Bahodir Eshonov noted that the ?Complex Development of Territories? project is implemented by the UNDP Office under the Main Program for 2005-2009 submitted with the Uzbek Government. It is promoted to realize a wide range of projects on more actual problems of developing the economic reforms and increasing the living standards in Uzbekistan.
?The basic goal of this project is to increase the welfare and living standards of people in the regions of Uzbekistan?, emphasized B. Eshonov.
A number of compact projects on developing the farming and small business aspire to expand the access to micro-financing, improve the market infrastructure and provide consultancy.
According to the experts of project on integrating the reduced accounting system, most of farming accountants developed very poor accounting reports which might result in bad mistakes in making such accounting reports. There is no a single system for increasing the level of an accountants' skills. Under the project a simplified accounting system was developed where the account plan is reduced and adjusted to the peculiarities of farming. The reduced accounting plan meets the requirements for working out the balance sheets and allows evaluating perfectly the financing situation of farms.
The integration of reduced accounting system will allow releasing accountants' work and increasing its productivity and reducing the accounting expenses and risks of making mistakes.
The presented reduced accounting system is approved by the Ministry of agricultural and Water Resources of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Farmers' Association and National Association of Accountants and Auditors.
The new accounting system will be integrated through the Center for Rural development established under the project.
